   Alcohol may increase one’s risk of pancreatic cancer, but it has not been proven to actually cause the cancer. Smoking is a main cause, up to 40% of all pancreatic cancer cases are caused by smoking. 10% of cases have genetic causes.

   sure.. 80% of pancreas cancers are caused by alcohol abuse

   From what I have read about pancreatic cancer it has been linked to heavy smoking and to certain dietary factors such as a high intake of fats and alcohol. Common symptoms include pain in the upper abdomen, often spreading to the back, loss of appetite, weight loss and jaundice. Hope this helps a little.
